Considering a change of destination next year. I have heard several good things about Aruba, so I promised the missus that I would look into this reportedly BEAUTIFUL island as a possibility. Does anyone have any experience or input? The resort we are looking at is the Allegro, or possibly the Holiday Inn. Bear in mind that we will be travelling with the girls (Aged 4 & 2 on departure). Any and all comments welcome.

I guy that I work with has been to Aruba - and he loved it, they stayed at the Holiday Inn, they say the only probably was that some of the guests could be very rude and treated the staff really badly.

They are going back again this year.

My best man at my wedding did his honeymoon in Aruba, at the Holiday Inn, and had a great time, so you should too.

The only thing I know about Aruba is: Years ago The Shirley Show did a week from Aruba, it was beautiful. The other stuff is about Natalie Halloway.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Aruba a number of years ago, it was a nice enough place.  Very pretty beach, good food, and reliable weather if you don't mind gale force winds all the time.  The island is an interesting one, great shopping, but very americanized - depends what you're looking for.
