Anyone been to Costa Rica? My friends and I are planning a trip in the spring and we were thinking CR. I was there a few years ago, but i was backpacking and staying in $2/night cabanas. This time we are more interested in an upscale AI that's close enough that we can do some day trips from the resort. Would also like to stay somewhere where we can get surfing lessons nearby. We all love the water and are fairly active thirty-somethings. Discos and nightlife are less important. Good food is a must. Any suggestions?

I remember you were hoping for that trip to CR - congrats on achieving it! Which hotel are you going to? Is it the Playa Conchal? When do you go? I can't wait to hear all about it.

I think it is the Occidental Grand Papagayo!
Not 100% sure at this point, but heading out February 19!
