Holy S*** I paid $1025 and thought that was a good deal. You will love this resort. The beach is great!

I was at "the other" Bahia Principe... the one in Peurto Plata/ Rio San Juan.

It was a nice hotel, but it was, as others have said, too big as well.

The only reason though, that I would not go back, was the scuba diving was :eek: scarey :eek: ! No organization, no control. It was almost "throw you overboard, and hope for the best"!

The Bahia POP is on selloffs, what was the food and beach like? I don't really want to go back to POP, but it's about $200 cheaper than everywhere else.

The beach is very nice, and extends a long way, so there is lots of room. The sand is very course, and not the white sand of Cuba. (I mamaged to break two ribs, playing beach volleyball)

The food is good, and lots of variety.

If the selloff is for Club Hacienda, then go for it! It is a seprate part of the resort, and has it's own pool, but you can use any part of the hotel.

On the roadway in, there is a strip that has bars, shopping, and dancing, so that is the place to go, in the evenings.

The only negative at all, is the size of the resort, but that too can be accomodated!

The Punta Cana beaches look so beautiful, but the remoteness of this resort area (PC)was the main factor in not choosing it for me for this trip.
But still want to hear what you think about the "whole package" ok?

Well mojitomiss...

We went to the TRYP hotel this past JAN and found it very remote(Cayo Coco)...and we wanted to be at a place where there was more to do..so we where thinking of Varadero...But after the Price I got and the fact that I really can't find a negative review of the RESORT...we decided to go to the DR...I have done some research and found there is lots to do in Puta Canta..and surounding areas..

I'm so jealous (and that's with my trip to Jamaica being only 5 days away). I loved the Bahia Principe in Mexico and the reviews for Punta Cana seem to be just as good. I just love the idea that you have somewhere different to go for your late night entertainment, if you want it. I'm hoping to go in December but need to get an extra day's holiday off (you wouldn't believe how difficult that can be with my work). Now is not the best time to ask with my forthcoming holiday fast approaching but as soon as I'm home if I can get the day off I'll certainly be booking.

:t: Work doesn't it just get in the way of your holidays!!!!!!!!!!

This place was great...5 ** all the way...I recomend this to all..and the price was great too..!!
