sony Vaio help needed

I've just bought  Sony Vaio laptop from one of my sons friends  *scared*  so far I've managed to get rid of most of the skank that is on it but when I try to run Adaware it crashes the system -I've run a full virus scan this afternoon and deleted cookies etc  but still can't run Ad-aware .....I don't feel 'clean' till this is done    :tard:   any help gratefully recieved  :TY:

Hi Lizzy, what version of windows is on the system?

it does as good a job as adaware, a little bit smaller in size for memory so it may not crash your system.

Its got XP home on it btw I'm slowly getting rid of all the trash that teenage boys seem to *need* on their  computers  :roleyes:
