What a deal.
« on: July 11, 2007, 12:48:24 PM »
I'm not familiar with this area of Cuba. This could be a really good deal.

http://ca.deals.travelzoo.com/311406   $628 -- Spend 2 All-Inclusive Weeks in Cuba, from Toronto
We are excited to announce that traveltSt.ca has just released an amazing 2-week all-inclusive vacation in Cuba for just $628 per person ($838 incl. tax)! This vacation is the same price as packages we see for only 1 week -- so it's like getting 2 weeks for the price of one!

Your package departs on August 15 or 22 from Toronto and includes:

Return airfare from Toronto to Manzanillo de Cuba
14 nights accommodation at the Club Amigo Marea del Portillo
3 buffet meals daily, drinks, activities, entertainment
Airport & hotel transfers in Cuba
35th Anniversary and Birthdays trip - Oct 27-Nov 3. Grand Sirenis, Akumal MX

This one is to Cozumel on September 15th with Air Canada Vacations.

Allegro Cozumel   $599 plus tax

or the El Cozumeleno  $557 plus tax

:wow: Those are really good prices with AC vacations especially since they will usually arrange very decent priced connector flights from cities in the East.  Flopnfly:  What are the beaches like in Cozumel? I believe you mentioned that the one at the Iberostar was not that great.  I hope we see more prices like this over the summer!
Melia Las Americas  '05,'12,'12
Iberostar Varadero '06
Paradisius Rio de Oro '06
Sandals Royal Hicacos '07
Playa Pesquero '07 '11
R. Hideaway Ensenachos'08
GBP Ambar '08 '09
GBP El Portillo '10
GBP Cayo Leventado'10

The beach at the Allegro Cozumel is fantastic.  Powder white sand with clear turquoise water!!!   Similar to Varadero.

I'm really tempted to book this tonight.

Ok,

I've got my passport and my credit card ready to book Cozumel and my finger on the trigger, but I keep checking for other "deals"

I've got one week left, and I got it approved today so I'm good to go.

I'm looking for something Oct 6-13th. Departing from Halifax. I was reading reviews for El Cozumeleno last night, sounds really good. I'm not in a hurry to book so if anybody sees something spectacular from Halifax, let me know, thanks.

Also looking at Occidental Flemenco Grand Xcaret. Last year you could go direct from Halifax in October for around $1200 taxes in per person.

Edit:
I just investigated a little further and found out the Flights go through Toronto. Not bad for the flight down, but the return flight arrives in Toronto around 1:30 a.m. and doesn't depart for Halifax until around 6:00 a.m. That won't go over well with hubby. I've switched gears and now I'm looking at flying into Cancun. Akumel Beach Resort is on my list.
