Best Airports
« on: January 30, 2008, 04:55:07 PM »
We've all done a bit of travelling, so the question is:  Which airport do you think is the best, and Why?

For me, it's the Airport in Frankfort Germany...  It's got a circular layout, with domestic (Europe) flights on one side, and international on the other but, There is a main crossover, so it's easy to get from one side to the other.

They do a great job of getting you in and out, without the 3 mile walks that Pearson is famous for!

Not to mention on our last flight home, I think the plane actually landed in Montreal, and the pilot "drove" the rest of the way to the Toronto terminal.

If at first, you do not succeed; You Obviously did Not use a BIG enough Hammer!!!
If at first, you Do Succeed.. try not to look tooo Astonished!

Well that is a tuff questions to answer as the can be many factors in picking the best. or a favorite. I have been to 16 or so
different Airports, most down south but a couple in the USA and two in Ireland. The LONG walk in to customs has always seam
the worst hear at home ( Pearson ). I liked they way the Dublin was laid out and also like the smaller ones in the Caribbean as the
walk to and from the plane are shorter. So I'm going to have to say  :dontknow: I don't know, it depends on the day

Now I probably could tell you the worst, and that was Holguin but no for the airport but the service

Sorry for the crappy answer  :confused2:

Best airport Palma, Majorca, it is quite large so there is a bit of a walk, the layout is good and the facilities are spread out, the area outside the airport is well organized so you are not dodging traffic on the doorstep

Worst airport has to be Corfu, it's a small airport with flights arriving 24/7 on arrival there are only 2 luggage carousels    on departure the reps hold you in queues outside only letting a dozen or so people from each queue into the check in area at time  when you have got your boarding card you queue for the scanner with your hold luggage, then you queue at security and passport control after that it's standing room only in the departure lounge, if you want anything from the cafe or shop you are in yet another queue  :BangHead:
