Footwear
« on: March 12, 2008, 07:49:10 PM »
I read a recent review on Trip Advisor and the reviewer states that shoes (not sandals) are required for men at the evening meals.  Can anyone confirm this?

Hey Milli,
when we were there it was closed toed shoes for men at all the restaurants.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Def closed toes for men, and the women were very dressy.

It's such a nice resort that you feel like you want to dress up a bit.

You can always change after dinner into something more comfortable, but most people hang out in the lobby after dinner and it's still quite elegant.

The lobby bar and cigar bar are air conditioned and you might need a light sweater or wrap.

Milli, do me a favour and find out if this guy is still working in the Lobby Bar, or maybe the cigar bar.  He was one of our favorites.

This is where we hung out the most at night...the Cigar Bar

Oh good, a fact finding mission!     I will keep my eye out for him.

And Milli, remember -- if you're staying for 7 days, you'll need at least 2 dozen pairs of shoes for yourself.  If you're like me, you need one pair for each morning, afternoon and evening - can't be seen wearing the same pair more than once.  Plus, throw in a few extra pairs just in case - 24 in all should just about cover it!
