Day 4 Ciego de Avila

Day 4 Wednesday begins with a fairly lengthy and some what rough ride to Ciego de Avila.

Arriving at Lunch time at the local Guest house for lunch which was presented on a patio over looking the city, a beautiful spot for Lunch indeed.  Lunch was shared with us buy several government officials including the vice president of the regional Government and the Minister in charge of  donations from North America, who made a change in his plans so he could meet with us on the way back to Havana from some meeting son the east end of the Island..

After lunch we went to the Hospital Psiquiátrico Ciego de Avila, ( physiatric Hospital)

and on to the General hospital there which is undergoing a major renovation.

That night we stayed in the in the Hotel Ciego de Avila, supper was somewhat limited but a good time was had in the bar in the evening where we were joined by a couple of the gov’t reps who had spent the day with us.

What is that in the last picture?   :dontknow:

Don't tell me it's an examination table.

  Delivery table?

(Looks like stirrups at the end of the table.)

As I mention that hospital is undergoing a major renovation at this time but they need to update much of the equipment as well.
