Delta Airlines

Has anyone had any experience with Delta airlines? Are the flights usually on time? Has there been any hint of problems lately, cancelled flights, airline going bankrupt, that sort of stuff?

  My son flew with them two years ago out of Fredericton when his class at University went to Belize.  I questioned the wisdom of it at the time as it hadn't been that long since they had filed for bankrupcy protection or reorganized. (can't remember exactly what was going on ) I recall they were to leave Fredericton at around 6 AM but didn't leave until almost an hour and a half later and were about an hour late on the return trip but otherwise the group got there and back safe and sound with whatever luggage they had.  Of course Delta has since pulled out of Fredericton. Was it Delta that just bought out North West?
