Another Vote, Another waste of Time

For the 17th Consecutive year, the UN has voted to end the US blockade of Cuba...

Considering the state of the US Economy; If those countries that voted to end the Embargo took it seriously; they should embargo the United States for one week, starting right now.

The Arab states could stop oil shipments, Canada could stop sending Oil, and Hydro from Quebec.  The Euro/Asian markets could pull some of their capital out of the US markets, moving it to the Euro or the Yen.

Within that One Week, the US economy would be brought to it's knees; and the US would be begging Cuba to accept the new terms.  Even if the US knows it's a temporary measure; knowing you'll get a hamburger tomorrow, doesn't stop the hunger pains today.

The companies involved would recover their temporary losses, with higher prices (on US sales) within the following week.

If at first, you do not succeed; You Obviously did Not use a BIG enough Hammer!!!
If at first, you Do Succeed.. try not to look tooo Astonished!

They need to have an enemy to have a diversion from their own problems. - really sad but history keeps repeating that and not just with the States.

Peter watched Obama's address tonight - he said it was very good. Wonder if / when he is in power if it will change the Cuba situation.
