Heres a good question
« on: December 01, 2008, 07:57:40 PM »
Im planning on taking my mobility challenged mother to the Mayan Riveria next February and the missus asked me some good questions and I was wondering if anyone had any words of wisdom.  Who is the best for access on the plane? And how would she get a wheelchair? Does she rent one? Does she borrow one? Will they accomodate my mother on the plane?  Anyone come across this?  Im still checking out resorts and I have a few in Playa de Carmen in mind.

You can ask for a wheel chair at the airport and use it right through to boarding.  Someone will help you to get her on and off of the plane.

Most resorts have wheel chairs available.  I would email ahead of time and request one.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
