Still sitting on the fence on that one.   Examining other options such as the Havana/PCV or PP combo.

Also one of the TA's I do trust thinks there could be some good deals later on.     She has my email address and will contact me in Canada, provided I haven't booked by then, if something turns up.

Well I was checking the sell offs on Tuesday (looking from Oct 15 to Nov. 12)
 It's now Thursday night and:
World of Vacation prices have increased approx. 100.00 CAD in 2 days. How long til the others follow suit?
Sunquest had one of their Deal of the Days (would have had to book by midnight Tuesday) for the PCV Oct 16 for 495 + (came to 1338 for 2)
Yes I admit to having regrets on not grabbing it. With these fuel prices, I wonder just how cheap prices will get? I'm starting to think they won't drop as much as hoped   :(
I am admittedly addicted to tracking vacation prices every day.

F&T: did I miss something here? Has the planned date changed from Nov. 12 to Nov. 5?

Rayd8me, none of us have booked anything yet. We're playing the waiting game, looking for the awesome deal, but these fuel prices have me turning into a nervous nellie  :)

Wendy:

No the planned date for TO departure is still Nov. 12th or 13th.   It's just that as I will be staying for two weeks I have to fly on Nov 4th because the First Choice flights only operate on a fortnightly basis.

By arriving a week before you I can get some much needed practice in for the Mojito Challenge and hopefully will have found a contact to lay on the lorry load of mint that will be necessary to ensure we both have an uninterrupted supply of mojitos 24/7!!!!.

That was our thought as well, it may take you a few days to hunt the neccessary supplies for Wendy's pending arrival.... We just have that little bit of flexibility, the 12/13 is still at the top of the list, but if everyone felt that Nov. 5/6 was better (assuming Bellagio was there) then that would work as well. We have booked the week of Nov. 12-19 off work, but being the boss it can be altered slightly!!!Anyway who is up for this Holguin gathering? Tracie and I will be there, also Bellagio, Wendy,Heather and John and our young adults (Sean, Bonnie& Kristen) Who else out there is up to the challenge????

F&T:

Following your post I went back on to the Eclipse Web site and lo and behold the one room that has for so long been on offer at the PCV for Nov 4th has gone.

I knew I should have booked it at £816.   My only hope now is that one of my ex workmates might come with me - that way it would only cost £690 each (as it's still available for 2 people to book) but he won't know until next Friday whether he can get the time off work.

You see it's a completely different ball game in the UK to Canada.   Last minute deals here are few and far between.

There are still 2 singles left on the November 2nd flight from Gatwick (down from 4 the other day).  They are priced at £890, but rather than take that I think I'd opt for the PCV/Havana option at £899.

Just my luck losing that Manchester deal though but I've only myself to blame for sitting on the fence far too long.

Rayd8me:

If you are referring to Breezes Jibacoa, no I didn't.

They did get back to me on Saturday afternoon with a price of £45 per night but the Virgin flight offer expired at midnight on Friday 2nd September and has now reverted to the full price scheduled fare.

I'm having very little luck on prices at the moment.
