Re: Cuban Music

So I was curious what everyone listens to when it comes to Cuban music?  
 
 I have Compay Segundo, The Buena Vista Social Club as well as a couple of CD's from the bands that travel around to the resorts.  I'm ordering a CD of Ibrahim Ferrer (sp?).
 
 If any of you haven't seen the Movie/Documentary of the Buena Vista Social Club and love Cuban music, you really need to find this movie!  It is an excellent movie from Ry Cooder about some of the long-forgotten Cuban Musicians.  Ibrahim Ferrer and Compay Segundo are both on the Buena Vista Social Club cd and movie.

We bought a CD in Cayo Coco airport for $15. Turns out it was a burned CD, not even a label on the disk. No problem, has about 20 songs on it ... I'll have to check who the artists are.
 
 Its funny, the day after we got back (and had listened to the CD on the way home)... hubby heard one of the songs from the CD on Z103 ... its was Gasolina (I think).
