Playa Guardalavaca and the road to Banes
« on: April 13, 2006, 10:35:00 PM »
I have uploaded some photos showing the beach and market at Guardalavaca and some photos I took whilst driving to Banes.

Nothing spectacular, but people who have not journeyed outside of the resorts may find them interesting, as might those who have travelled this route in the past.

I really enjoy the drive to Banes, it is much more interesting and picturesque than the drive to Holguin.

Loved your pics, they brought back the memories of the only 2 times we have been to Banes in the back of an ambulance with Tracie's broken leg!!! Think in the fall we will have to travel back to Banes at a more leisurely pace!

:)  Bellagio:  I really enjoyed these photos. You do take great pictures.  As much as I loved the IV and love Varadero I really want to go to this area and experience some of this beauty.  I see you are staying at an Iberostar in Mexico.  When we were at IV there were guests who were very loyal Iberostar fans.

Thanks you guys.   I was up until 8am UK time loading up my final pictures on the trip to Santiago de Cuba, but unfortunately the internet went down at 5.30am and so was unable to upload them all.

I'll finish uploading after midnight tonight then my Cuban adventure in photos will be complete.

Hello bellagio,

 Great photos...well taken.
I am always amazed by the "dramatic sky" in Cuba.
It seems to change so quickly from hour to hour.
Alberta is "sky country" ..so when travelling anywhere I'm  fascinated by its movements/patterns.

 Thank you again.
