My goodness!  What GREAT pictures!!!

What kind of camera do you have?  The colour and focus (ungraininess) are amazing!

Westjet looks great.  One day I want to fly with them.

LOL - Dazed and confused.  Was that your first night?

The "warming up" pic is great.  Perfect timing!  NO, I would not trust him.

 Great costumes!

Were some of those people on stage guests?

The beach looks great.  Bicep curls - lol.

Is that rock in the pool?

 Josone Park looks so pretty.

We LOVE Cuban bread.  Great picture.

OMG, the food and desserts look delicious!  I gain 5 lbs. everytime I go to Cuba -- and I think I just did!

 Great towel art!

I can't thank you enough Milli.  I can hardly wait to show them to messybill.  We're so excited.

great pictures Milli,

I still say the beaches in varadero are the best yet...  but that's just my opinion.

 Thanx for sharing.

Yes, well my DH thought so too and I deleted about a dozen more pictures of the food  ;)
BeachBum: Fortunately for you I did not see that you had been to IV last year or I would have been hounding you with questions.
Millybess: you are going to have a wonderful time and if I can't go back myself  it is nice to know another great couple is going to enjoy themselves.  Be excited ...you are getting into the homestretch!

Milli,
Fantastic Photos, Thanks!  It really helps me to get a visual idea of the place before we go, because
 1. otherwise I'd be Dazed and Confused
 2. Millybess starts expecting me to know where everything is within 12 seconds of arrival.

Thank you Milli,

 Those are great photos.
We love the park in Varadero...and those delicious Pina Coladas.
For years when we first started going to Varadero the park was closed to the public ...found out Castro stayed there on his holidays. There's a tunnel under the main road from the park leading to the beach..so it was quite a private location.
Appreciated your photos today as it's quite cool and damp here in Alberta.
Looking forward to November..taking some Newbies
with us and will introduce them to Italian food and Pina Coladas at the park.

Well, it appears that Aruba may have to wait!!  It now looks like we are leaning towards a trip to the IV instead.  Anyone have any tips on what to do/where to go in Varadero?  Bear in mind that we have 2 small kids (4&2).
 Thanks!!!

:)  MCB: I love hearing the stories about Varadero before it became such a popular tourist area.  We were fortunate to meet a man from NFLD who has been coming to Cuba since the 80's and did he have some stories to tell!   When he told us about some of the flights he had the cramped seats and boxed meals sound like luxuries!  Resort life and the food was not quite the same apparently  ;)   I hope your friends enjoy their stay in Cuba and I am sure you will!

Mister:  When we were at IV I kept thinking how much my 5 year old grandson would love it there. The staff seem to really enjoy children.

Millybess:  I have a Canon Powershot A520 which I asked for for my birthday as I liked my son's so much.  I find it easy to hold, quite inexpensive, and someday I will learn how to use all the settings  ;)

Excellent pictures, I swore I'd never go to Varadero, but after seeing those pictures (and I like the Iberostar chain) ... hmmm ... maybe?!?!?

I especially liked the bicep curls pic   :p
