Gettung Ready for the new dive Season.
« on: March 22, 2006, 03:28:00 PM »
If it's not one thing, it's another!

Sent my reg in for service, got it all tuned up.  Bought a new dive computer, to replace the old one.  Thought I was ready to go.

Now, I've had to send in my dive watch, to have the battery replaced. Hopefully, it won't take to long.

Can't wait to get back in the water!

I think you forgot one thing.... you need to book your vacation !!!     :D    :D    :D
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Sent my watch in for a new battery...

Got an email with the "repair estimate"..

 Amost had a fit!!!

$137.75 to install a new battery, overhaul the depth gauge, and reseal the buttons!!!

ps...  picked up the dive computer yeserday, Suunto Cobra.  My friend, who owns the dive shop, added the quick disconect, and the compass for free!

Wow $137 seems an awful lot !

I use a Suunto Stinger which to get serviced and new battery costs about £48.00.

I am not sure of the exchange rate but it still sounds a lot!!
