Dive Jackets
« on: February 21, 2007, 06:44:00 PM »
I found a site on ebay, that sells dive patches for jackets etc. at a good price.

  http://www.cypresscollectibles.com/

So, taking things to my usual extreme, I thought "Wouldn't it be great, if the "7 Days in Paradise" dive team, had their own dive jackets to wear?" (even those who are not divers, but still on our "7 Days Dive-Support Team")

We have a place here in Cobourg, that will do custom logos on windbreakers, so I am going to check tomorrow on the price to have them done. Maybe the 7 Days in Paradise Logo above, with Dive Team stiched below?  On the front, we could add this patch:

Gambitt,

 You're a genius!!!

I'll have one, and a T-shirt too if they have them.

Finally got off my butt and got my jacket ordered today.

It should be ready first of next week, so when it arrives, I'll get some pictures posted.

We had to do a bit of work on the Logo for the back,  so it's going to be a curved "7 Days in Paradise " banner above the words

 DIVE
 TEAM

I'll let you know as soon as I get final pricing etc.

In the mean time, check out the Cypress website, and if you would like other patches on your jacket, I can order them at the same time, and have them sewn on.

Note to Bulldog... If I can find the right style of bandana, I can easily have the crest added.

I should have mentioned, that if anyone wants a "7 Days in Paradise" jacket, with something other than Dive Team on it, that can be done too...

Maybe Cuba-Holic or Cuba Lover? or something else of your choosing?

The ones that are hard to see are:

Nitrox Diver - which is diving with mixed breathing gasses.

Advanced Diver - A second course for those with more dive experience.

 Night Diver -

U/W Navigator - A course to learn how to use a compass, and measure your distances under water.

Deep Diver - Going deep takes special training as well.

Ice Diver - I'm still working on this one- You cut a hole in the lake, and in you go.  This one takes a lot of special gear as well, since you can't always go straight to the surface.

I was surfing on ebay this morning and found these:

I thought they would go great with the dive jackets.

Anyone interested?

If so, you can let me know here, and I'll order them all together to save shipping.
