The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate the achievements in the global travel industry and are recognized by leading travel professionals as one of the best accolades that any travel product could receive.
Royal Plantation was victorious in this category against other Jamaican candidates including Half Moon, Montego Bay and The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort at Rose Hall. Gaining nomination for any category at the World Travel Awards is based on the previous year's voting, and voting is cast by thousands of travel gents in over 200 countries around the world.
