Char, have an Irie time in MoBay. I understand that you managed to convinve the Zephster to only go one week and save a week for cuba :)

What time frame are you looking at for Cuba? Planning on the VC again or looking for something different?

No time frame in mind yet for Cuba...I just made him promise that it's BEFORE Canadian Thanksgiving!
As for VC...not sure. We LOVE going there, but I really, really want to see Cayo Largo for a change. I'm not a diver, but I think I could manage snorkling - I was ok at it as a teenager...but then again, I was pretty good at a LOT of things as a teenager! :rof:

So Cayo Largo, regardless of what I do in the water, sounds like it'll be just my speed: STOP!

However, Zephie is a creature of habit and is somewhat addicted to VC...since he lost the week in JA, I might have to give in to another trip to VC!

Life is hard huh? Especially when you have to spend all your free time pondering which resort location to choose and how much you'll be "giving up" when you pick one over another! :rof: :rof: :rof: :rof: :rof:

For us uninitiated into anything Jamaican, what does the word "Iriemon" mean? I am pretty sure sunvluvr will answer this as she seems to be the most in luv w/ Jamaica. Travelchick

Well, I hate to take all the glory, when I know Flopnfly is as much of a Jamaicaphile as I am!!

"Irie" is the Jamaican term for "all right" or "everyting good"

"Mon" seems to be the ending of every sentence in Jamaica...another very common phrase you'll hear (and be able to understand! ;) ) is ya mon!

When you hear a local say Irie or Irie mon, it sounds more like "arrrright" mon.
