WINNIPEG (CP) - A Squamish B.C.-based airline has been grounded, along with its Flin Flon, Manitoba-based parent, Bakers Narrows Air Service Ltd.
Transport Canada has suspended the company's air operator certificate because of safety concerns with the maintenance management system at Bakers Narrows Air Service.
According to a Transport Canada release, the company, which also operates as Howe Sound Seaplanes and Bathurst Air, must show it meets all applicable rules and regulations before it can fly again.
Bakers Narrows Air Service has been operated for four years by Brett and Angela Baynton and offers scheduled flights between Flin Flon and Pukatawagan in northern Manitoba as well as charter flights.
On their website, the Bayntons also note they launched Howe Sound Seaplanes in March of last year, offering scheduled and charter flights between Squamish, Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
