Castro's leadership question
« on: January 19, 2008, 09:10:06 AM »
So on the news the other they were quoting Castro that he was too old and frail to give speeches in the next election. Do you guys think that this is significant? Im curious to know what the opinions are.

Whether it's Castro or any politician.

If they are admittedly too old and frail to give speeches, I have to think that they need to retire and hand the reins over to something new.

I'm sure that his mind is still as sharp as a tack, and he could be helpful as a consultant, but the people like some face time with their "leaders".
