DCF trip Day 7 Contra Maestra

Day 7: Bayamo to Contra Maestra to Blau Costa Verde

Lots of distance traveled today, got up and tried to take a shower but there was no water coming out of the shower… others had water buy not very hot… had the same Breakfast as we had at the previous two days, scrambled eggs, breaded ham and cheese deep fried, chopped ham rolled and breaded to look like a sausage .. again deep fried, thank goodness for a selection of breads and fruit.

We then loaded on the bus and headed for Contre Maestre, near Santiago de Cuba to visit a Dr who is a good friend of my BIL

These guys are playing checkers… the men are rubber tops off of bottles of injectable medicine.





After touring the nursing home we visited  a local aid office and visited with Dr Fraga.

It was then back on the Bus retracing our route back to Bayamo before turning north to pass through Holguin on our way to the resort where we would spend our second week in Cuba, The Blau Costa Verde, a 4 star resort located on Playa Pesquero Beach outside of Guardalavaca (Guarding the cow) Cuba.
