Bill, huh, Juan took a crack at us and we were only down for several days. Bill (hopefully) will chicken out and turn toward the sea. (we don't have a thingy for fingers crossed)

We are ready, started putting things away yesterday. All the patio furniture has been put away. Have to do something with the kayaks and canoes. Maybe just lash them all together and secure them to trees. Where we live we think we may just het some high winds, nothing that we are not used too. But, we will be prepared because you can never tell with hurricanes. Very fickle weather that's for sure.

Keep safe everyone

Might not have been a Hurricane, but Logan and I had to fish out two deck chairs out of the pool tonight, before we could get the cover on!

Earl was a Tropical Storm by the time it got to us. We did OK, lost a couple of big branches but that was about it. My SIL lost part of a tree and when it came down it broke another two.

Earl was heading for Yarmouth on Friday evening but by Saturday morning, he was taking aim at the St. Margarets Bay/Halifax area. Which is where we live. It was pretty wild and wooley out there for a few hours. We even had waves with whitecaps on the lake. I can say I've only seen that a few times in our lake.

One fatality connected to the storm.
