Looking for vacation spots for family, any suggestions
« on: January 13, 2010, 06:27:52 PM »
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Only travel once with my hubby so I am not up on these vacations.    I would love to take my children on a vacation, 17 yr/13 yr old.  Any suggestions on places would be great....thanks.

Welcome to Paradise honeyjar

Perhaps if you gave us an idea of what you are looking for in a vacation we will be able to come up with some suggestions.

Do you want a nice white sand beach, or are you more of a pool person?
Do you prefer to get dressed up for dinner everynight or are you more of a casual type?

I see that you have teenagers so you will need something to keep them occupied.

I think you'll find that most of the members here love Cuba and can suggest many resorts.   :cuflag:
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

We're taking my son, who's 9 to the Breezes Trelawny next week.  As soon as we get back, I'll let you know how it would be for Your kids.

Okay, well a nice white sandy beach sounds nice.  But I also like to lounge by the pool also.  We are not looking for anything to formal.  Semi casual for dinner would be nice.  It will be a necessity to have activities for the kids.  Swimming with the dolphins might be nice, water sports maybe.  Budget???---definitely wouldn't want to pay anymore than $1500 per person, more closer to the $1000.

When would you like to go?  Where are you flying from?  These two bits of information will matter in terms of price.

Then I would suggest the Iberostar Varadero.  Best bang for the buck IMHO  :cuflag:
