Profile Help
« on: April 24, 2005, 10:55:00 AM »
Seems my avatar isn't working correctly. Need help as you can see. I currently have the link to the picture in the box on my profile, but is there something else I should be doing?

Also, I have read about name display, can we just type what we want there?  Or should I be putting an appropriate nickname somewhere else?
 Thanks

Let me check it out.

In your profile where it says  Your Picture, put the link to your photo.  I don't see any restrictions so it should work.  Or you can click on Change Avatar and put the link in there.

Where it says member status, you can give yourself a title if you want, if not I think it just gives you new member.

My pic will not work because the url is longer than the space provided?
I have tried several times and when I checked I saw that there is not enough room!

Debbie what is the link you're trying to use?
I'm new at this too, still trying to figure everything out.

I've been catching up on DIY and mowing the lawns, so this is my first visit of the day.  I'm MILES behind on these postings.

Is anyone else about?  If not I'll have to have a look at creating an avatar.

I see I am a Moderator, as Millybess told me last night.   What's the salary please, Heather?  I know you do the payroll at work so surely you can afford to pay us a little something.

I'll take CAD if I have to!!!

Well as you can see or not see my pic, I am still unsuccessful.

I even just tried copying my link from the other fourm's avatar and it's not working. I keep trying to play around.

Heather you post all your pics directly on this site right?

Hey Heather,
on my profile page i noticed the following
 Member Status:
 UBB Code™ is not enabled.
 Does this mean anything?

I even selected one of the provided avatars and it doesn't show up either.
 Thanks,
 Kim

ok, I'm checking things out, a lot of the settings are the default settings and I have to change them to what we need.

All my pics are posted on this site, but that shouldn't make a difference, you can still link from other sites.  I'm still checking

I think the default size for the url is 80, I'll have to edit the file to increase it.  Bare with me.
