Resort Divers is the onsite Dive Op at Trelawny?
What is involved with the Rescue course?
What You Learn
Self rescue
Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
Emergency management and equipment
Rescuing panicked divers
Rescuing unresponsive divers
This is a big course if you would be trying to fit it in within a weeks holiday, to be honest, I would think twice !! This would leave you with little, or no time for relaxing and enjoying your weeks vacation.
There are 5 open water sessions (acting out scenario's, ie:removing yours and an unresponsive divers kit whilst giving mouth to mouth on the surface, bringing an unresponsive diver to the surface from the sea bed in a controlled ascent etc), plus 5 pretty intense knowledge development sessions, and then a final exam on top of that. It's pretty tough going to complete this course within a week, let alone when trying to enjoy a relaxing holiday with the family.
If I was you Gambitt, I would go and enjoy a relaxing time, have fun diving and think about doing the the Rescue Course when you get home. (I can mail you some additional information regarding the Rescue Course from the PADI professionals site if you think that would be any help.....PM or let me know if this would be any help to you).
Have a great vacation whatever your decision !
